GPU works with Display Port but not with HDMI

UBatcha

To explain further, I have a 3070ti, I have it hooked up to 3 monitors via Display port (1440p 144hz each). Trying to connect my TV (Samsung S95B) refuses to work on the HDMI port.

I have updated GPU drivers and have restarted.

I removed all the display port cables and tried with just the HDMI port - nothing.

I tried the HDMI on a different display with a different cable and nothing

I restarted with ONLY HDMI plugged in and noticed that I can see the original bios loading screen but then black screen when loading into windows?

So now I feel like it's not a GPU issue but might be a windows/driver issue? I've updated the GPU drivers though so not sure what else I can do

btw this has worked in the past, it just stopped suddenly a month or so ago and I've only just got around to troubleshooting.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Does it work in Linux Environment? Try loading Pop_OS! with NVidia proprietary drivers from USB stick and test there. If your issue will persist there, then the issue is in GPU. Maybe BIOS reflash is required. If this issue doesn't persist in Pop_OS!, then reinstall Windows.

Purify your Windows 10/11, don't give Microsoft anything that you don't want to share.

Ah, appreciate the reply but I don't think I have the time (since I'd have to learn how to) to install another operating system sadly

You don't need to install it. Just download ISO, flash it into USB stick with Rufus or BalenaEtcher and choose that USB stick as a boot option. It's called a Live USB.
