Is this upgrade a good idea for my pc and power supply?

I decided on working to simply give my current rig a full upgrade, rather than build a far more expensive separate ITX build.
and im putting it up here to have the forums judge my decisions.

the current Parts List:

CPU:Ryzen 5 3700X with stock cooler (Wraith Prism)

    Motherboard: Aorus Pro Wifi X570

Graphics Card: RX 580 8GB OC ROG Strix

   RAM: G.Skill Neo Trident Z 16 GBx2

Power Supply: Corsair RM850x 80 Gold

Case: CoolerMaster MC500 Modular (its got Handles)

Case Fans: CoolerMaster ARGB Hybrid Fans.

ill be replacing the CPU with a 5800X3D

(only one i could buy new, ROG STRIX with overclocking was $400 dollars used and i wasnt sure about the XFX Speedster)

and the base case fans will be switched out for Noctua NH-Af14 PWM 140mm fans.

(im sure to be running 120mm Coolermaster RGB hybrid fans, but since i have cats i need to know if i should get noctua fans on the radiator instead)

Budget (including currency): $900- $1000

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games like ARK, Halo Infinite, Starfield and No Mans Sky. Programs like OBS, VSDC, and perhaps Xsplit.

I will be looking to get a monitor for 180p at 165 hz, its that GNF Spectre one for $104
(ah, nvm, its doubled in price to $190)

3700x consumes about as much as a 5800x3d , around 140 watts maximum.  5800 is made at lower nm so it was more power efficient, but the extra cache consumes the power it saved by shrinking process, so you get about same power consumption.

RX 580 consumes up to around 220 watts, 6700 XT consumes about the same.

The power supply you have now is fine and enough, no need to upgrade.

this is $20 over 1000 but includes a monitor that is pretty good. If you don’t need or want a monitor than you should use this part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RTN234

Keep it or go for Arctic P12 instead. If you want bulk airflow, they're the best pick right now. If you want individually good fans, then go for Phanteks T30.

Going with Aircooling would be more advantageous.

if i may, can i ask for the reason behind the 6800XT upgrade? would it simply be for the Vram upgrade?

and would the reasons for air cooling be just the price to performance? or the cat hair?

It is a very sizable GPU performance difference. Its 4070 class performance instead of 3060Ti class, and its full 16GB of VRAM.
