Does the LSI SAS9300-16I need to be flashed into IT mode?

It should be plug and play, so just see how it works. If you see the drives with no config, and stuff like smart data is passthrough thats what you want.

Hi all-

 

I bought an LSI SAS9300-16I and I was wondering if to use it with TrueNAS Scale if I would need to flash it to IT mode or if it is plug and play.  I am seeing a lot of mixed information online.

It should be plug and play, so just see how it works. If you see the drives with no config, and stuff like smart data is passthrough thats what you want.
