Does my laptop supports type c charging?

I want to get a docking station that charges my laptop and it lets me use more ports. I wonder does my laptop support type c charging.  If it does great. And if it doesn't i wonder if it could still work as a hub. And does my laptop and the hub support 240hz?

Docking station: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0C24D98VV/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=A20J3ITGSOMSJG&psc=1

Search for keywords like "USB PowerDelivery" or "USB PD" to check if a product supports it (this one apparently doesn't).

As for 240 Hz, supposedly the notebook has HDMI 2.0 (source), which means it should just so be able to do 240 Hz at 1080p (requires 14 Gbps, and HDMI 2.0 has 14.4 Gbps). Whether the 3060 has the performance to deliver a stable 240 fps is another question.

Remember to either quote or @mention others, so they are notified of your reply

I don't know for sure but I did USB-C charge an ACER laptop in the past. So I don't see why this higher end one wouldn't.

It might not accept 100W but it probably will accept lower Wattage.

(What's that -... symbol beside those 2 connectors ?)

Found it, the symbol means DC-In Jack so it should allow charging

Yeah if there is a DC mark next to the USB-C then it should support charging via USB-C

However the Laptop  OP used doesn't seem to have that.

This symbol here can mean this port can be used to charge the battery, but it can also mean this port will always get power, so you can still charge your phone with the laptop even when it's off.

I would suggest look at user manual to check.

You should also look and see if the USB-C port support display-alt mode,  because the specification only said it supports "USB Type-C port: USB 3.2 Gen 2 (up to 10 Gbps)" Meaning you may not able to display through it.

LI don't really care about charging since I could use it on my phone or Chromebook but would the dock work on my laptop?

No it will not. Your laptop doesn’t support USB-C alt mode, it is not capable of outputting a display signal to any USB-C dock
