Can I add more storage?

I can't see or think of any reason why it would not work.

 

I know some mobos turn off a Sata port if you put a Sata drive in the m.2 but can't find anything like that on that mobo.

I've currently got my boot drive on my main M.2 drive and an additional 4 x SATA SSD/HDD filling up all my usable sata slots on the Mobo.

I've noticed that my Mobo also has an additional smaller M.2 (2280) slot (says on website "NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA Mode (from Chipset)"

Can I still  add a 2280 M.2 drive in addition to all other drives? or have i maxed out my capacity?

I've got this Mobo (https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B550M-AORUS-PRO-P-rev-10#kf) and the AMD 5600x

a 3070 is plugged into the main PCIE lane.

 

any help is appreciated.

M.2 drive is 1TB

1x SSD = 1Tb

2x SSD = 500GB

1x HDD = 1TB

those sata drives are all considerably small , you benefit a lot more from just getting a single larger drive vs adding another small drive to the machine.

yes, I will also be replacing one of the smaller SSD and the old HDD to larger ones, but I still would like to know If i can add another M.2 into my machine or if it will not function at all.

There is nothing in the manual, or specification, so i would say you are good to just add a M.2 NVMe SSD.
