Computer slowing down due to "page faults"

You can upgrade the ram. The computer comes with one 8Gb stick installed. You can get another one (doesn’t have to be same capacity). 16gb sticks are a sweet spot right now. My computer has slowed down quite alot and the only way to speed it up again is to restart, sign out, or end the processes with process explorer. The processes that i end have high page faults, maybe a few million. Can somone explain why this is happening/give a permanent fix?

What hardware? How much RAM?

 

Large numbers of page faults are nothing special.

You are running out of ram and hitting the page file. That causes slowdowns.

i just realised my pc is ans515-51
