One Cat 6 POE+ cable for two POE cameras

CiBi

Hi

is there a way to connect two PoE af devices on one cable with PoE at?

I’ll be using a PoE+ switch and want to connect two IP camera’s outside my house but only have one cat6 cable going outside.

The two camera’s will be placed next to each other covering different angles.

thanks in advance

You'd need something like this, although I'd recommend running a second cable.

Nope.

One cable on device.

Only way is to put a small poe switch between them which may or may not provide enough power from one poe cable

The USW-Flex (not USW-Flex-Mini) will do this, if each camera uses less than 10W. The total downstream POE budget of the USW-Flex when powered by 802.3at is 20W.

There are other POE switch options from other vendors that have similar capabilities.
