TrueNAS issue on an old HP ProLiant N40L microserver

Hi all, I have a HP ProLiant N40L micro server(dated i know) which is used mainly for media storage for films etc so I can watch on my TV/pc/phone and tablets. Originally I was using WHS 2011 until I upgraded the hardware and OS. I started using TrueNAS core which was fantastic, after 6 months on the fresh os I lost all access to the server (web GUI and file access) so I ended up having to do a complete re-install that once again worked flawlessly for another 6 months. Since then it has been collecting dust where it lives behind the TV. Has anyone else experienced this issue and if so how did you overcome it? Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Thanks

Ben.

When you lost access to the machine, did you plug a monitor into it and see what was going on?

Hi, thanks for the reply. I did yes, each time I was unresponsive and when I physically powered down then powered it back up it displayed no boot device detected. TrueNAS was installed the second time on a brand new ssd. To rule out drive failure.

Odd, are these drives actually failing? What kind of drives are they?
