It could become faulty after 90 days. :P 3 Months isn't that long to have hardware.

most things i get are either doa or just work. if its going to break soon, its normally within a week, after a few boot cycles.

That's true, but it may not be totally dead. A fault could only be noticed in the future when you try updating the BIOS, or installing some more RAM or another hard drive etc...

It's important to note that it's "B Grade" which apparently means that the packaging could be damaged and potentially missing accessories. However, for that price it's going to be worth it. Not that I need a Z87 mobo.
