Asus, lg or msi

I just recently returned a LG GP850 with barley ips glow or blb but the problem was a dead pixel in the center of the screen, I was very impressed and satisfied by how good the monitor was with response and the colors were beautiful, how good is LG`S QC? should I look into another brand like asus vg27aq or msi qd?

I don't know much about LG other than there phones and I find there QC to be inefficient but I am looking for new monitors and for me its between the Asus vg27aq or the Gigabyte M27Q which are both solid monitors which if you look at price/performance would definitely surpass the GP850

See if you can grab an open box unit. I got mine open box, they check for dead pixels, and it came with a full warranty...at a significant discount.

If you loved the monitor besides for a dead pixel, then why not get another one? LG is a major manufacturer of panels, so pretty much all monitors are either theirs or Samsungs. Monitors also get shipped where they can get damaged, so it very will could have left with a perfect screen and arrived to you or your shop with one dead pixel, and no one is to blame.

I just picked up an Asus 32" VG1A, what helped me decide was the warranty, it's 3 years. That LG only has a 1 year warranty and MSI's I believe is 2 years. So to me that speaks volumes.

ASUS vg27aq owner here - Below is my personal review of it. Dunno how other monitors compare since I buy monitors so infrequently, but rtings.com may have a good comparison.

LG is a good brand, I had purchase 4 times LG brand monitor and so far so good, probably you just unlucky. 

 

Asus is over price in monitor, not my favour. I only buy once. 

 

MSI is not my prefer brand.

not sure if it's any different in sweden but in the US the returns are hassle free and no questions asked + full refund

They perform more or less the same, with some colour and brightness here and there. If you want something reliable, just get the one with bases in your country. Stuffs break, that's just how it is, the best way to ensure its longevity is to choose the one with reliable warranty. 

 

LG is pretty good in that regard. Asus and MSI actually don't use LG panel, their display tend to be a bit brighter and have better contrast (just a bit) but can be a lot more expensive. All three of them have pretty good reputation, so I'll personally choose something that has a service center close by. If you like LG then you could just get LG imo.
