Posted May 10, 2013 I like the OC one, surprisingly I remember seeing images of a similarly colored board except the chipset heat sink was bright blue, looked a bit unusual next to a orange and black board, if this is the same board and they have changed the heat sink appearance it looks really sharp and awesome now. Posted May 10, 2013 Really like the Z87 X OC color scheme- orange is underrated Hopefully the Z87 D3HP is no more than $120... Posted May 10, 2013 Ugh, ugly boards both of them. But then, I always think that about Gigabyte boards. I've been waiting for Z87 motherboard porn videos, but I would have hoped it would be from Asus or MSi first. Still not as nice as MSI's. 15" MBP TB AMD 5800X | Gigabyte Aorus Master | EVGA 2060 KO Ultra | Define 7 || Blade Server: Intel 3570k | GD65 | Corsair C70 | 13TB
 Posted May 10, 2013 So the OC is to compete with the Mpower and Sabertooth rather than the ROG boards (unlike the UP7)
Posted May 10, 2013 Much better than ASUS's Z87 boards. I sense a great disconnect in eachother's opinions. I'm fine with that, as long as you stay ---> over there. Yeah, I'm really waiting on MSI's show cases the most, I'm tiered of these teasers lol, I need to see some real Z87 Mobo porn :) My Sig Rig: "X79 (3970X) -Midas"http://pcpartpicker.com/p/wsjGt6" "Midas" Build Log - https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/59768-build-log-in-progress-code-name-midas/ "The Riddler" Custom Watercooled H440 Build Log ( in collaboration with my wife @ _TechPuppet_ ) - http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/149652-green-h440-special-edition-the-riddler-almost-there/ *Riptide Customs* " We sleeve PSU cables "
 Sorry, I'm not talking about performance, I'm just talking about styling and looks. While ASUS's Z87 lineup does look good (as it did for ivy-bridge) it looks the same IMHO. 15" MBP TB AMD 5800X | Gigabyte Aorus Master | EVGA 2060 KO Ultra | Define 7 || Blade Server: Intel 3570k | GD65 | Corsair C70 | 13TB
 I was also talking about styling and looks, MSi's yellow+black and ASUS' gold+black are way better IMO. I also am not talking about the ROG motherboards, those weren't really ever that interesting to me. I think ASUS's new gold stuff looks pretty cool, and the ROG and Saber tooth looks almost the exact same. 15" MBP TB AMD 5800X | Gigabyte Aorus Master | EVGA 2060 KO Ultra | Define 7 || Blade Server: Intel 3570k | GD65 | Corsair C70 | 13TB
 My only issue would be MSI not using enough yellow on their board, and there not being a ton of gold components for ASUS' new color scheme. Sure beats the pants off Red and Blue being used in motherboards. We still need a White+Black motherboard though. Watch as it ends up being one of the lower tier companies that releases it.
