So I currently have a 1660 Ti and im upgrading to a 2070 super. My 1660 has 1 8 pin connecter and the 2070 super has a 8 pin and a 6 pin.
Do I need to hook up both?

Yes, you will need to use both connectors on the GPU to properly power it.

Does your power supply have the extra connector?

If your power supply is 550w and over and has both an 8 pin and 6 pin that will allow it to boost to its full capacity

You will need to use both connectors on the card. What power supply are you using?

Most cards require both connectors to be used in order for it to function. It's not like the 12VHPWR connector, where if you disconnect some of the cables from the adapters, that it will simply perform worse.
