[US] $46 1TB Intel 670p SSD with promo code

YoungBlade

The 1TB version of the Intel 670p NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD is available on Newegg right now for just $46 after a $4 promo code.

This SSD does only use QLC NAND, but it features both a DRAM cache and an SLC caching layer, so in terms of performance it's still good until the caching is exhausted, with write speeds up to 2,500MB/s. The read speeds are the full 3,500MB/s you'd expect from a PCIe 3.0 SSD. It's endurance is decent at 370TBW.

Overall, this could be solid as either a boot drive or as a secondary storage drive. Its QLC nature does mean that I wouldn't recommend it for those who need to transfer large files on a regular basis, like media professionals. But for gamers and general usage, this seems like a great deal.

that's pretty neato.

Unfortunately, I don't need one, so I will pass on this.
Hopefully some poor newbie can get the one I didn't order for his first gaming pc.
