attached videos not embedding in post, only creating a download link

Browser, version and OS: Chrome, latest, windows 11

 

Steps to reproduce/what were you doing before it happened?

attach .mov video to post

 

What happened?

If I attach a video to a post, it only functions as a download of the video

 

What did you expect to happen?

It appeared to try and function as an embedded video, but then just downloads

It's working fine for me. Mobile Firefox, Android.

 

E: Works fine on Win10 Firefox 109

.mov videos are only supported by some browsers (safari supports it, and firefox seems to, but chrome doesn't always). You would need to repack it as .mp4 or .webm for it to be more widely playable.
