I need some help...old gamer/builder..trying to get into crypto mining

Top board is a BTC B250C / American Megatrends bios on windows 10 mining on nicehash at one point 1 whole dollar a day...lol well with 12 - 106-100's and recently installed ubuntu and linux software..put the 1050 ti my og gamer GPU I wish I had 1000 of... non modular Ev3a 750 power supply to it and drives last turn on

 

bottom board is a switch basically atm..#1 to the Riser line all green lit ....needs to do more imo got a couple drives to use...couple nvidia M2090s..

#2 power is a hp 1200 on 110 atm so 900w 16 point breaker board 12.3 power to the GPU's

 

I wait 5 minutes let them all spin up 

And help...lol

Isn't GPU mining basically dead at this point? Also, a dollar a day? You're easily outspending that in power alone, to say nothing about component depreciation.

With the current political situation concerning Bitcoin and the rest of the digital currency arena, the decision to digitally mine any crypto currency is a complete waste of money.  Just like your grandfathers boat, it is another hole in the ground in which to dump all your money.  Digital currency is in the middle of a serious downfall and a complete waste of time and money.  Stay away from it as far as you can and keep your wallet in your pocket.

One can at least derive enjoyment from a boat. That's far less true of a mining rig. If op wants crypto he'd be far better off buying some outright.

The only "benefit" of crypto mining nowadays is just being able to flex your money, your stupidity, and making it seem to people who don't know much about this, like you're a "hackerman" for having jank looking pc stuff and saying it "gives you money for free".

1to2 a day and I'm not that flipping stupid that is profit after power...see over 4 days I hit 2 blocks in maybe 24 total hours so yeah eat a d

You did ask for help which I suppose some folks saw as asking for advice - and they did give you advice.

 

If you want to do something useful and have some fun then consider using all that electricity for Folding at Home or BOINC.

To be completely honest, yes. As others have said, this stuff is better put to use for folding@home or BOINC. You said you earned 1-2$ a day, now how much does your mining rig cost? Looking at the parts, seems like at least 1000$. You would need at least a year and a half to even make a net profit. I would not want to stay in a house with an active fire hazard for a week, but you're planning to do this for a year. Looking at your pics, it's a bit obvious that you're doing this in your bedroom. I don't wanna live in a house with that thing much less sleep in the same room with it. My advice, sell that junk, get a life, do something useful for the world. Or alternatively, keep that stuff, but use it for folding@home or BOINC, but decrease the jankiness, and do it in your garage or somewhere that doesn't have bedsheets or pokemon cards that could stoke the flame.

I think the reason people are giving you the thoughts they did is you really didn't ask a question.  You said help, but with what?  What problem/issues are you trying to fix? You said you are making money so what did you want to change?

Guys calm your tits, he asked a simple question. People advised him to not mine any crypto. He is old enough to know how ROI works etc.

No need to bash on him because he is convinced that he will earn a lot of money. Only thing I will advise is to make it less sketchy, so he doesn't die in a fire.
