How good is this build (First time building a PC with pretty much completely new parts)

Crasher610

Budget (including currency): 1500£

Country: UK (shopping from Poland though)

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Elden Ring, new game releases, RayTracing, 1440p gaming.

Other details: Want to make a PC build from scratch that will look and perform good, my current build isn't all that behind but upgrading each part with time did lead to messy cable setups, different RAM speeds and not fully matching parts (at least i think so, might be wrong). upgrading CPU and GPU from Ryzen 5 3600 and RTX 3060. Main goal is to not have any problems running new game releases in 1440p with at least high settings in 60fps. I will either buy all parts in the next couple of days or slowly through 4 months. If there's anything else i should add just ask.

A small note: i usually have a open browser with a bunch of tabs open so a to not have it affect the game performance i have a lot of RAM (i hope it actually works like that).

Storage and the two RAM sticks are from my current build.

Sorry if anything sounds weird im not that good at typing these things.

What's the rest of your pc specs? I'm sure you can reuse more than the ram and storage. 64gb is excessive fo just gaming and a lot of tabs, 32gb is fine. For reference you can get a 13600k and 6800xt

Or a 5700x and 6900xt

Both for cheaper then the original list

The only other parts i currently have would be the motherboard, 2x8GB of ram and a Power supply that i don't even remember the name of.
64gb ram is too much true but will prefer to stay with it considering that sometimes i use up to 30gb.

Thanks for the part reccomendations but one problem with them will be shipping since some of them won't ship to Poland

So much money wasted for vanity, improved the performance by a lot on the same budget.

64GB of RAM is totally unnecessary if you're not video editing or anything that requires tons of RAM.

The reason why you see 30 GB being used while gaming, is because windows and software will seize more RAM if it is available, for each software/app/processes headroom. With 16GB of RAM, I have at least 10 tabs open while gaming, VLC running on my 2nd monitor, and some other random apps. 32GB is already a lot more than you actually need.

RTX 3080 12GB because you specifically mention RT, AMD is irrelevant for RT, at least for now.

Full current system specs? If you wanna stick with amd just reuse your current board, and you can likely reuse a few more components too
