Followed members list

podkall

I would like to see a section where I can see all the members that I follow,

My Activity Streams > "Members I follow" - only shows recent activity of followed members.

Someone could be online just not posting, or they could post and be overshadowed by 50 other recent posts from other members that I follow.

Note: Users receive notifications after Mentions & Quotes.

Feel free to ask any questions regarding my comments/build lists. I know a lot about PCs but not everything.

PC:

Ryzen 5 5600 |16GB DDR4 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1080 ti

Or "Manage Followed Content" from profile menu, scroll down to last item on left side panel, "Members"

quite hidden don't you think?

Where would you expect to look for this, if not in the page of followed content?

you say followed content, "manage followed content" sounds like settings rather than a page..

Could have also mentioned it's under dropdown below my nickname.

Would it be better if it was just named "Followed Content" rather than "Manage Followed Content"? Or would you just not have thought to look there at all, and if so why/where would you have looked?

When I went to look for the list of members I follow I first went to the profile page and checked my followers list. I would expect a list of people I follow to be found in the same area where you find a list of people who follow you. Maybe a link to the people you follow in the Followers widget on profiles when viewing your own profile.

I looked here:

when I tried to find it, because, everything else is either notification, profile or settings.

So, no, a normal person wouldn't expect it around settings in the same dropdown menu.

Hmm, but I would argue managing who/what you follow is a setting, at least compared with the stuff in the nav bar (which is content-centric, plus some general site info like the community standards).

That's not quite what you're saying though, you've not mentioned looking for it on your profile at all. Did you go looking there?

Yes, that would be one argument, though following falls into social rather than settings

Yes actually that was the 2nd place I looked.

This is website, every link goes to page. Whether page contains content by others or content related to your account is the different.

There's difference between couple of usergroups. Those who tinker with settings on everything they install and create account to. And those who just use it. For tinkers, checking what profile and user settings hold is normal. But for those who don't normally go to look under every menu, then finding something directly related to your account under the links related to your account can be confusing.

Imo the only "burried" thing is that members option is the bottom most item  on that list. There are stuff that are very much irrelevant over members.

Yeah, like "my activity" is under profile, but if you click profile one of the buttons there is "seemy activity", and "settings" with "Theme" could be under "manage followed content".
