What R9 280X?

Go to solution Solved by jaffacakes,

Thank you very much guys for the replies and i'll go for the Tri-X because it overclocks better than the Gigabyte one.

Hi, I'm searching for the best r9 280x and here is the list: http://www.qmaxtech.it/en/search?orderby=position&orderway=desc&search_query=r9+280x&submit_search=Search
My max is €275 and i don't care about the size of the card since i'll get a Corsair 300r. Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

The Slimy Pig.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

I'd recommend the Gigabyte or Asus solutions, as from what I've seen they have the best performance.

I don't know about their customer service though, as I've never had to deal with them.

I like the Gigabyte Windforce one, or the ASUS DirectCU II if it comes back in stock.

I had the XFX card and really liked it, very quiet, good temps. My brother now has it and it's been performing flawlessly. I also had the Sapphire Tri-X and found it to be very loud with relatively unimpressive temps, considering it's size. The ASUS coolers are great but the R9 280Xs have been having artifacting issues, especially the TOP edition. Gigabyte's cooler tends to sag quite a bit but is said to be a very good card, nevertheless. I'd personally say XFX, very unpopular opinion, but yeah.

the Saphire is quite good. Cheap, quiet fan noise (even at 70%+ it isn't an anoying noise), dual bios button (uefi+legacy bios). Pretty much everything you need at a good price i would say.

Can't tal about other brands since i dont have experience with them.

EDIT: DO NOT get the gigabyte one. It is hot and noisy. It pushes the hot air directly to the pcb of the card, making it hot despite having 3 fans.  Also noisy.
