Pretty much any new gen cpu would be fine given you're playing at a reasonable resolution for a 6900xt. I'd take a look at the 13600k(f)

the 13600k is only $30 more and gets a bit more intel features y the 13600ks?

What? If you're asking why the 13600kf then it's mainly because it's priced way more impressively then 12th gen competitiors at the same price for the performance it gives

Why would you think the 13600kf doesn't have that? The P cores do. The E cores don't.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

You have 2 motherboards?

13600K is the best cheapest option, best option would be 13900K or 2nd best option 5800X3D.

I’m trying to prevent bottlenecking

Here's the thing about bottlenecks, they will always be there in some form, and depending on the game. Old games e-sports games would definitely be bottlenecked by the CPU, but current AAA games would most likely be bottlenecked by the GPU.

13600K should be able to max out 6900XT in 1080p, hell, even my 12400 could max out my 6800 XT in 1080p.

Again, as I said, if you already have Z790 board, go with 13600K. If you already have B550/X670 board, go with 5800X3D.

Most of them performed within margin of error, it just comes down to how much you are paying for it, seeing as their next gen cards are 2 weeks away from being announced.

I’m paying 700 bucks for it what errors does it have and what 6900 xt card would u recommend?

700 bucks is a bit high at the moment, are you outside the US where the prices are a bit higher? Id honestly wait at this point, we are 2 weeks away and i dont want you to regret spending 700$ on them just to have next gen come out and you missing out.

Again XFX is a pretty decent brand, Sapphire tends to be the gold standard for AMD GPUs, but no brand is a guarantee.

Well it is one of the more cheaper ones I’ve found and I’m in the us and again I was asking what 6900 xt u would recommend as a link not a brand.

"They perform within margin of error" means there is no relevant difference in their performance. So just buy whatever is cheapest in your region.

Bad idea to buy a 6900 XT now m8. Wait for AMD to launch their new gen first. They will try to milk us like Nvidia but you’d find a better deal.

Well I am worried that rdna 3 will be the same as 4090s launch having to sell a kidney just for it to be broken within a week

Any of the boards with 2 DIMM slots. The Z690 Apex, Tachyon, Unify-X, Aqua OC, Dark K|NGP|N, and their eventual Z790 equivalents will all be about equal, give or take 50MHz. At the moment the Z790 Apex is in the lead for fastest memory speed, but that board won't release until sometime in mid November. For a daily system, the Apex and Unify-X are probably your best candidates since they've got the best case compatibility as well as the most IO.
