Why Z790 motherboard, gen 4 2 tb m.2 what’s wrong with the 5000d airflow and isn’t 1000w excessive don’t ya think for 700 wattage usage

The z690 needs a bios update to work.

Id get the pcie 4.0 version of your bootdrive just in case direct storage does something soon. Costs a tiny bit more. But other than that not really a reason to change your ssds.

As for psu get a enermax revolution d.f., msi mpg, corsair tx or corsair rmx 850w unit.

Bios update is easy plus I can get a replacement if it fails. a 1tb gen 4 ssd for a boot drive? Why not Corsair RM 850 it’s cheaper

RMx actually has better capacitors, and sometimes longer warranty. It's usually a better buy for those reasons.

idk where you got that, has nothing to do with the 40 series or the 7000 series. Mostly it’s just because it’s definitely bios-ready for 13th gen whereas you may need to update bios on a 600 series board which isn’t that big a deal unless there’s no flashback button and you don’t have a 12th gen cpu you can use

Yeah, I love Noctua, but no. It's not worse, in fact, by any means.

Not so. 13th gen on z790 offer better memory speeds and handling. Often models have upgraded power distribution from z690 versions.

One cannot generalize. Define exactly what you mean by "better" and the context in which it is to apply if you want an accurate assessment. Otherwise you'll likely just get opinions on brand and cooling type preferences.

depends on the situation, it beats most noctua coolers yes. If you need a tower cooler then noctua is a good pick but they are expensive. Their fans are the best though. A good bet is a Liquid Freezer II with a12x25s

Yes, it will beat most Noctua coolers like the NH-D15 and NH-U12A in cooling performance.
