Shoul i go with 3080ti if im using 2k monitor with 140 hz or should i go all out with 4090?

I'm not sure that 3080 ti will be enough to give me constant 140 fps, so any advice?

 I'd wait till November 3 to see what AMD has to offer. 

You will not be able to keep constant 144 fps in most of games.

Buying a 4090 for 1440p 144hz would be a total waste. You’d be better off waiting to see what amd brings to the table and the pricing. I sure as hell wouldn’t buy it for that monitor

Can you explain me please? You mean i should go for 4k? Right now i have 1080ti and 60hz monitor, so i want to upgrade pretty much everything including monitor. In the end i just want to have 120+ FPS in most games with 2k monitor. I don't think 4k is worth it, but maybe I'm wrong. Sorry for bad eng btw
