Random question, how do you guys store your spare PC components. I have a small handful just kind of sitting in electrostatic bags in a cardboard box but I feel like someones got a great solution out there. Only asking now because I'm upgrading my nvme from an old 500gb one salvaged from a laptop to a 2tb and realised I should store my old stuff a bit better.

Thrown on a bookshelf in my work room.  Literal piles of graphics cards, sound cards, ram sticks, etc.

You really don't need to handle these things with that much care in my experience.

Closet so I can't store my dresses as well anymore. Under my bed. In my drawers. I have a lot of stuff and I just shove it anywhere it'll fit.

Everywhere and anywhere. Whole corner of my basement is dedicated to the stuff.

It's on a table. It's on a bookshelf. It's in a box. A bin. I have stuff that's been sitting in piles for more than a decade and I'm testing it now and it all still works fine.

Most of mine are just sitting on shelves. Some in antistatic bags, some not. Some are in their respective boxes (old mobo/cpu) mostly. As long as they're not all tumbled together in a box with no protection there's really no problem imo

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

I have a case to hold NVME drives.  That is about the only thing I collect.  Maybe a few items I haven't had time to install/sell yet in boxes.  If it is worth something I sell it right away.  If I can't sell it, it eventually goes to a recycle pile at work.

AMD 7950x3D / Gigabyte Aurous Master X670E/ 64GB @ 6000c30 / 3 x 4TB Samsung 990 Pro / 44TB Synology 1522+ / MSI Gaming Trio 4090 / EVGA G6 1000w /Thermaltake View71 / LG C1 48in OLED + MSI 321URX - Moved back to air cooling Phantom Spirit 120 SE.  Server (PLEX) - 155H NUC 64GB  and 60GB Optane drive/ Server (AI) 64GB M4 Max Mac Studio

I just keep mine loose in a couple cardboard boxes. Cards I like get anti-static bags.

Maybe someday I'll sort through the multiple boxes of old hard drives I've got kicking around. Nobody needs 20 gig PATA drives anymore.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.
