O_Bsnacks

So, I’m looking to buy the Xfx merc 319 Rx 6800 xt and it says the minimum wattage for the 6800 xt is 750w. I have a seasonic focus gm 650w psu gold and I wanted to know if it will be ok.

pc specs:

It is definitely enough, my cousin has 5800X + 6900 XT with a 650W superflower psu. 750W really would only be needed for 5950x or Intel CPU's.

Manufacturers always assume people will buy bargain basement PSU's so they recommend higher wattages.

I ran my 5800x/6800xt on my Corsair SF600 with no real issues.
I now run a 12900k and 6800xt on that same 600w power supply.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Gaming you should be just fine.

Don't run stress tests that will crank both the CPU and GPU at the same time, that's where you'll go past the wattage of the PSU.

That's not true at all. All the components maxed out would never even reach 650W. Not to mention most PSU's can run 120-130% for quite a bit.
