why did Nvidia discontinue the 650TIboost???

so i guess im lucky to own a 2 gig model of the card. but why discontinue it. it may not be the most powerful, or the best looking(mostly reference designs out there) but it is by far my most favorite GPU.

just wanted to know why they discontinued it after suck a short period of existence.

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

You could get a 660 for $20 more anyways.

To make way for the GTX 750 Ti. And it was too close to the GTX 660 to begin with.

People complained about the "Ti" instead of just calling it the GTX 655. A GTX 655 Ti would sound even better, but no, Nvidia just had to call it GTX 650 Ti BOOST. Takes so long just to say your gfx.

Great cards in my opinion. I have two of the red MSI twin frozrs in my system and they beat a single 680 in the benchys. Will be upgrading soon but till then its more than capable of any game out there.

As someone else said it's likely due to the 750ti coming out. I noticed they were selling out in most places and so picked the 2nd card up before it wasn't available anywhere.
