Your thread title says 980, your post says 980 ti.

The 980 isn't worth more than 100.

The 980 ti isn't worth more than 120.

The GTX 1070 performs like a 980 ti but uses less power and will get driver updates longer, and in the US they are easy to find for $150 or less.

So I found a listing on my in my country equivalent of craigslist of a GTX 980 Ti Founders Edition, it costs 150€ at the exchange rate right now it would be exaclty 150$, so is that a good price or should I look for cheaper cards?

That’s a pretty good price. You can sometimes snag 1070’s on eBay for 140-150$ if you’d want something that performs somewhat similar with a bit less power consumption.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

$160 or less I would consider fair for a 980 ti, though yeah a 1070 would be better because of the 8GB of VRAM vs 6GB.

Yeah, founder 10 series cards are fine, reference 900 series cards have the tendency to die randomly and should be avoided. The 1070 is the much better card in this instance
