While waiting for my dp590 to arrive. I figured id make a curiosity post. Ive seen at big events nvidia and amd running triple 4ks. with them dropping in price drastically. (and my power hunger bug going over time) How impossible does everyone feel it would be to run with things like upcoming maxwell?

still not realistic.

These are all on a single 4k display, so triples would be taking that framerate and dividing it by 3...

you can do a triple monitor setup

you can do a single 4k screen

but NOT triple 4k for gaming

framerate will be unplayable even with triple 780tis

it is fine for just regular use, web browsing, etc... but not gaming

there isnt enough GPU power available yet for this

triple 4k would be the same as 12 1080p screens
not very good fps :P

Not possible currently, but crossing my fingers Nvidia and AMD are going to release at least their flagship with enough VRAM and horsepower to run 4K at decent settings, making 4K surround possible with one card sacrificing some settings of course. Seeing how 4K is quickly dropping in price I would really hope both manufacturers release cards capable of running that resolution
