This just makes me miss Timmy Joe.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

if you search around the used market a bit you wonder what kind of drugs some people are in with the perceived value in their equipment.

Which case is that one next to Anthony at the beginning of the video (the big one)?

"It's a 4:3 display!"

Actually that's a 19" 5:4 display, 1280x1024 resolution (Quite common to see used now as until recent years they were still in use in most hospitals as it was the workstation grade resolution that most medical software was designed for until the late 00s).

“Mr. Polkadots” is notorious in vintage Mac circles, for selling junk at exorbitant prices. (Junk he doesn’t bother fixing, mind you.)

Not sure if serious? Not just out of stock but out of production. The era when all of Cooler Master's stuff was "Storm this" and "Storm that" was like 10 years ago.

Gotta chuckle at the handle they marketed as "Ease of Mobility" on a case that weighs over 30lbs empty.

I'm serious about the case alright. I have come to depend heavily on external 5.25 inch drive bays. I have a fan controller with temperature sensor, Blu-ray drive, tape drive, small amp I made myself that connects to HD audio to drive a big passive speaker, And also a USB-C with memory card reader I/O panel.

Yeah. But because modern case don't have 5.25 in drive bay, they were decommissioned. My current Thermaltake Versa 26 case has 2 5.25 inch drive bay which are populated by one BD-RE Drive and one DVD-RW Drive. My LTO5 tape drive is sitting collecting dust now...

I've been thinking about building a PC for I think over half a year now and I've gone back and forth about wanting a case with 5.25 inch drive bay for being able to fit a disc drive to burn/copy media that currently only exists on disc, wanting something else that might be smaller and more professional looking(I really don't care for the Corsair 4000D style cases I'm used to OEM and school computers so I don't want a bunch of RGB unicorn vomit and don't really care about seeing the inside of the computer). Or trying to have a rack mounted computer that maybe I can also just leave on a desk since I don't know if/where I'd put a computer rack/makeshift rack. But yeah I also think the storm trooper looks cool. It's also nice because it could be used as a NAS later on given that it has 8 3.5" drive bays.

Oops just saw the $6k price tag.  OK it was bad.

Aw, that's where you're wrong.  My old X58 board with first gen Core i7 still has the BIOS code to run 5.25" drives, and that's worth something to a very particular eclectic demographic.

Just kidding.  I'm not selling.

...but also, really, that's the only reason I keep that computer 😛

*2 years ago i believe* Sold my old 1070's (2x) for a 1000 each (Norwegian kroners) when every other seller was doing 2000 to 3000+ in my currency for them.. Their still at 1500 to 2000+ to this day and its only getting older.. Even 1080's to Ti's being sold at 4 to 5000 norwegian kroners.. ITS AS MUCH AS A RX6500 OR 3060 at this point and their still grasping to their false reality.

Have tried to find a used 1060 6gb variant to test some things in a game im playing alot now but that too is stuck at 1500 norwegian kroners, about 150-160$ xD

Might aswell get a used R9 card at this point with our markets fantasy prices..

and i did look on what .. this.. "AMAZING ULTRA RGB MACHINE ULTRA STRONG GAMING PC" costs.. 3500$ for a I7-10700kf something and a.. you guessed it.. *insert cheaper version card* 2060..

Used market is fucked xD

I'll probably be in the minority here but I really don't like reaction videos, and the trend of following trends (like reaction videos) that every youtube influencer is jumping on. Examples are many, Mr. Beast is a prime example. I understand it works, it's an easy to make type of video, it generates a lot of views - but it's just not up to the standard from what I expect to see on LTT channel. Maybe on a secondary channel, sure - but not on the main channel.

I get it, but this isn't without precedent either. Linus and Jake have made at least two "roast your bad setups" videos over the last couple years.

Does 2 5.25 bays around $85 get attention?
