My Stand off Screws are screwed in too much?

jjcz5

I noticed three of my Stand off Screws are screwed in more than the others. Should they be all aligned or should I just leave them?

I got the CougarMX330-G Air case and while six of the screws were already installed the other three I had install myself.

The pictures below compares a Screw installed by me the other by the Manufacturer.

look at the other side of that panel, if all the standoffs are screwed down until the wider bit touches the back panel, that's how it needs to be.

It would help to know which side is done by the manufacturer and which side is done by you.

But as others have mentioned... unless your standoffs are different sizes, they should go as far as they can screw in (i.e. once the actual standoff hits the motherboard tray.

First Picture: Screw on the left is done by Me. Screw on the right is done by the Manufacturer

The three screws I installed looked like they were in correctly (i.e. stand offs touching the tray) it wasn't until I looked under the MOBO tray that I noticed the screws I installed were 'poking out' more than the others. Just wondered if that's a problem.

@jjcz5It shouldn't be an issue. The one poking through a little bit more probably has a slightly longer thread or the metal of the case is slightly thinner there. If you look close there's more of a burr from the tray on the one that looks shorter. As long as they aren't stopping the rear panel going on I see no issue.
