White case or Black case?

SigniFire

Like... 3 years ago, I asked to a friend if they preferred the colour of his pc case white or black (I use a white one).

He said black.

I asked why and the said: "because it looks more professional and cool"

Me: "Why not white?"

He: "because it gets more dirty easily than a black case"

Me: "Makes sense but... Doesn't mean that you are a lazy person because you don't like clean things..."

He: ...

Me: It doesn't mean that you ARE a lazy person, I was just making a point... I hope that I didn't offend you...

He: I'm fine, don't worry. I chose a black case because are more common and the others things I said earlier.

Me: Yeah, understandable

I have a question for you, white or black case? And why you select that colour.

(If there are some errors, sorry, English is my second language. This post in theory it's not relate with tech thing if I'm not wrong).

Unless you're placing your PC in a place where it could get dirty from things other than dust, a white case will be much better as black makes dust much more obvious. Also I just prefer the look of white cases in general so I could be biased lol

My Build (5800X3D, RTX 3070)

disclaimer: i probably don't know what I'm talking about but I try to give the best advice I can

Had a black case for years, went with a white one this time just because, and now that I have it, it look cleaner and the RGB looks so much better with a white background.

Depends on the build. Mostly white components gets a white case, anything else pretty much gets black.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Black cases. I dislike white anything. White shoes, shirts anything, white walls. I hate apartments because it's always white walls. I don't find the color aesthetically pleasing at all. It draws attention away from what I want. (In my situation).

I dislike anything that is white, tho I don't have to get something that is black, I would prefer if there was more options.

I would take grey over black if the case I wanted existed in it.

I have almost all white cases now.

They are easier to build in since spotting a black screw in a white case is not hard.

They also look clean longer so less maintenance. It is sort of like a white car vs a black car.

Both are better than beige.

Depends on the build.

I tend to use black stuff, but looking at those all white cases with white components, and then have RGB (though I would only use 1 or 2 colours), does look pretty sick.

I currently use a laptop as my PC (5900x, 3070), but I was planning to build an Azza Pyramid case, with red lights to make it look like a Sith Holocron. I will still do that 1 day, but right now a laptop was far more convenient, so I will wait a few years before I build something new.
