can a 5600 or 5600x work with a ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING II

So, i want to try to upgrade from a 4 core cpu to a 6 core one but at the same time with ryzen arm5 coming out soon I don't want to get b550 and also would I get more fps if  i upgrade from 4 cores to 6 cores with a gtx 1660 super (when I could get one) ?

Yes, update your BIOS and either will work with a B450 board. Can't answer the FPS question because it depends on a lot of factors, not all tied to the CPU.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

Check the motherboard cpu support page and compare bios revision with the one currently on the board.

Depending on how old the board/bios is it might be worthwhile to update the bios anyway.

You might now see an increase in fps with a gtx 1660, but then it would depend on what games you play, cpu limited competitive games is probably where you will see the most gains.
