Hi, i have i5 11400f and i have 6 cores but hw monitor only shows 3

so i look on hw monitor quiet often and then i realized that hw monitor was only finding 3 cores, so then i go into task manager and i have 6 cores there, can some1 tell me wtf is happening

Have you tried using HWInfo64 instead? HW Monitor seems to be less reliable.

Download CPU-Z:

I prefer the Zip.  Extract the folder.

Open "cpuz_x64.exe" then look at the core and thread count (where it's highlighted in red):

 

 

That will tell you your exact core and thread count of your processor.
