CPU going from 40 degrees to 29 degrees then jumping back to 40

Nothing wrong. Smaller the CPU die, harder it is to keep the instant peaks in temperature under control. When I launch firefoz on my 3600, it peaks to 55c then instantly comes back to 40c.

Hwmonitor tells my my cpu is slowly going down to around  30 degrees and then jumping back up to 40 degrees.

 

Also for a little while after building my PC my CPU fan ran for 2-3 seconds then stopped then waited like a minute or two and carried on for 2-3 seconds after my pc was shut down. This stopped after my PC updated drivers.

 

What could be going on with the jumping cpu temps?

nothing , let us know when the computer is actually getting even beyond an idle temp that cpu can handle 80c even.
