Depends on what piece of tech, over $300 for a CPU is spendy, over $500 for a GPU, over $40 for a game. Its all relative I guess.

This is true. :D

Anyone who ever complains about something being expensive. They don't even know.

I gotcha! Why buy an EVGA GPU when a GAINWARD one would perform just as well, is this what you're getting at?

evga is worth every penny imo, that customer server is worth it.

But anything that I can't afford and have left over after from a pay a cheque.

>£250 for CPU/GPU/monitor is expensive. I tend to spend >£300 on GPUs but I've never spent more than £250 on a CPU or monitor. Will probably change when I impulse buy one of those Samsung 4K displays when they get released, and then I'll need to buy a 290X as well. Damnit Samsung.

As far as building a PC, i find that video cards tend to be more expensive which is why i can never have the latest and greatest. CPUs after that and mobos next.
