Fist time builiding a full gamimg setup! Need to update bios om motherboard, how?

Cpu:

5600x

Motherboard:

Msi b550 a pro

Gpu:3070 ti

Psu: 

Anted 650w hcg

Storage:

Nvme inland 2t

Ram:

Dual 16gb memory

I've had already build the pc and nothing turns on, im sure its due the motherboard needing lastest bios update. I need to know if its ok to have my motherboard usb flash the latest bios update with all my components plug in to the motherboards and psu. Do i need to remove all my commpents like the cpu, gpu, memory, and storage from the motherboard. To then begin flashing the latest bios update to motherboard.

If nothing powers up it is unlikely due to an older BIOS.
