Monitor Advice: AOC 24G2U Vs BenQ Mobiuz EX2510

Kennymclay

I've recently put together my first PC build and am now onto the stage of getting my peripherals.

My GPU is a Nvidia Founders Edition 3070 Ti.

The two options I've come up with are an AOC 24G2U and the BenQ Mobiuz EX2510. I'll mainly use the PC for a mixture of Video editing and Gaming.

I understand I should be getting a far better monitor, however I went a bit over budget with the PC build and at this point my budget is about £220, and I plan to upgrade in the next year.

Any opinions appreciated

DisplayNinja has tested both, and gave the AOC the title of best budget gaming monitor. So. That one.

The AOC offers better value. The BenQ is slightly faster but also more expensive.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

The AOC has been fully reviewed and does well in them.

its primary drawbacks are black uniformity, which isnt uncommon in LCDs anyway, and its resolution.

Beyond that however it has exceptional out of the box calibration for a budget monitor, and good contrast for an IPS.

Added bonus is it has BFI (MBR), while u cant use it with Variable refresh, if you choose to use it, it has some amount of finer control to change pulse width, increasing the effect of BFI (clearer moving image) at the expense of more obvious moving image doubling.

its popularity increased its retail price however if u can get it closer to its original release price it is certainly one of the best, if no the best, budget monitors you can get.
