Does Oblivion work on windows 10?

I'm thinking about getting it from steam. I'm asking coz fallout 3 doesnt work at all on windows 10.

Why wouldn't Fallout 3 work? I played it on Windows 10.

As far as I know the Steam version of TES IV Oblivion works too.

I assume coz fallout 3 was made for win xp and has not been updated to work on win 10.

It just does not "lunch".

I can't get my steam fallout 3 working.

I have the Oblivion GOTY version on Steam and it works fine on Windows 10, was playing it a few months ago. I don't think I had any issues with it. If you have the original disc version of the game and are having problems with it running on Windows 10 you might need to see if there's any updates available for it.

Steam version runs, but needs a tweak (I believe it requires GamesForWindows to be disabled or installed...or smth).

GOG version runs without any tweaks.

... also that 'reviewer' should have added the problem/solution at the end for others to be aware

I've played FallOut 3 on WIn7 and Win10, no problem.

Same goes for Oblivion.

It did use to required Games for Windows Live (ugh...) but I think they actually removed that cancerous piece of crap from it a few months ago.

It works fine. And as was said, Games for Windows Live was removed a couple months ago, so no problems with it.

Yes.

Get the GOG version.

I have the Steam version as well but had issues with it.

I have Fallout 3 running as well. It is the GOG version.

Fallout 3 came out in 2008. When do you think WinXP was?

Just installed FO3 GOTY Edition and Oblivion GOTY edition on Steam for the first time in what has to be over 10 years (yay for Google Fiber). They both work perfectly fine, was able to launch and start new games with no issue.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

XP was still a thing when it came out (and long after, cause Vista)

Sorry Vista must be in the memory hole. XP was used by everyone until win 7 in '09. I remember it well coz Microsoft gave out free copies and bought all comp sci students pizza at the launch. And we all cheered at the first blue screen on that night. Good times in the compsci/gaming labs
