Posted April 4, 2022 Hello, I've recently bought a Lenovo legion 5 laptop and I have now discovered that if I use Bluetooth and download simultaneously, my download speed drops to a half. Posted April 4, 2022 Dont use both Other then that, it seems like it would be the limitation of the one card since they have to share that bandwidth and such. Have you checked for updated drivers? Don't use microsoft updates or laptop vender. Go straight to maker of the wifi adapter. Need more info to offer up a better solution. Posted April 5, 2022 Author It is RTL8852AE card, but I wasn't able to find drivers directly from Realtek. I have tried those provided by Lenovo, but the issue persists. I have R5600H, RTX3060 and 16GB RAM. Also I have tried Win11 but wasn't happy with it, so i rolled back Win10. Could that be the reason ? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options... Can you go into device manager and give me the driver version you currently have installed. Posted April 5, 2022 In your case the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth components share bandwidth. The only solution is to buy a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi USB dongles. Alot of people have replaced it with an Intel AX card. As far as sharing bandwidth, I highly doubt this is much of a bottleneck over just poor drivers. I have an Intel AX200 and use bluetooth headphone daily all the time without performance loss on wifi. Sharing bandwidth isn't an issue here PCI-e 4.0 1x is 2GB/s which is more than enough bandwitch for the card to operate at full wifi and bluetooth speeds at the same time. The trouble seems to be just poor driver support here. Wouldn't poking inside void my warranty? No as long as you return it to stock if you need to do a warranty it will not. As far as replacing the card it's pretty easy even with no experience. Remove the screws from the bottom cover use a plastic pry tool or corner of a gift card to septerate the bottom shell, once off there will be a plate with a few screws, remove them then remove the screw holding the card down, remove the antenna connectors make sure to put them back in the same spot on new card. Pull out old card and reverse to put it back together. Here is a video for reference you will see the wifi card on the right side at 1:45 into the video.
