Gigabytes poor customer service

Hey every just got some news and updates for everyone

so lately I have been looking into things around gigabyte as I have had some boor experience with there customer service like them saying I could get my card replace as it was Under  warranty then the next day I couldn’t I have also found some users on this site as well as other where gigabyte won’t give them there tax number for shipping purposes as some companies require it even though gigabytes website says they will provide it if required I have also found that they offer very little support when it comes to trouble shooting more things that they are doing wrong is they are listening and talking to people four hours and people are calling and emailing them over and over again but they still refuse to give our basic customer support anyway the lesson from this is buy something from msi or asus not gigabyte

every company has these issues, gigabyte might have more, but ultimatley the "customer supporter" is responsible about user experience. If the supporter is bad, you have bad experience etc

You'll find every company has people that have bad experiences with them. I, for one, will never recommend MSI. IMO they're complete trash. Depending what kind of trouble shooting work you're looking for, it's probably not their job. If it's specific to their component, sure, but if it in any way can be caused by components not related to that specific one, you're kind of on your own.

Gigabytes customer service has been crappy in my experience too, i rma'd a GT1030 GDDR5 a while back because the fan went out, and not only did they not give me any status update on my GPU at all during the process online, i even called their phone number, and whoever was on the other end of the phone, the three times i talked to someone at gigabyte, none of them could simply give me a bloody answer to the question "i mailed my gpu a month ago, is it on its way back yet", i knew by USPS tracking that the card had arrived 5 days after i put it in the mail.  it took nearly a year for the card to arrive at my door.

Every manufacturer has issues like this, and some people have better with some manufacturers while others have bad experiences with them. But one manufacturer I hear the most bad stories from is Gigabyte.

For example I had a bad experience with Sapphire which a lot of people say is good. They took more than 2 months and then they said the GPU died because of coil whine. How is that even possible??? Then they gave me a full refund (€280) which was useless at the time, my GPU was €700 at the time and the 1050 Ti (cheapest GPU) was €300 and that's much worse than a 5500 XT. Luckily the retailer was nice and offered me a replacement from MSI, which is actually a little bit better (more VRAM and better cooler)

Asus and MSI were about as bad a few years ago, but now they're pretty good from what I've heard.

Some also are good in some regions while they are horrible in other regions. Asrock for example, in Europe they pretty much have the best service you can get while they suck in other regions.
