A WIFI question

AIO H110I cool Dude

Hi guys...

My desktop PC has a WIFI and ethernet network connection. I of cause use the ethernet option to secure the optimal speed for internet connection. But at the same time I would like to have my WIFI connected to the router as well, but I have to manually connect the WIFI each time I restart or turn on my PC.

Is there a way to make windows 10 home automatically enable my WIFI connection at each start up/restart?

More info:

Edition    Windows 10 Home
Version    21H2
OS build    19044.1586
Experience    Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4170.0

My WIFI card:

TP-LINK Archer TX3000E

https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/pci-adapter/archer-tx3000e/

Any help is greatly appreciated

Why do you want them both connected? Why even give the computer the option to try and reach out over Wifi if you have a wired connection?

Thanks for the reply - But the point is can it be done, not why it should be done 🙂

I know cable is the way to go, I have a BT Headset and my mobile and tablet use WIFI, but that is it everything else is connected by cable.

But as said, the question is can it be done, can windows on my PC (With ethernet cable connected to router) actually automatically connect to WIFI after a start or restart? 🙂

By default, Windows 10 will preferentially use the ethernet connection if it is available.

While you can enable a simultaneous ethernet and WiFi connection, I don't quite see the point if both of those connections are going through the same network. Maybe if you needed simultaneous connections to 2 different networks there would be a benefit in doing this.
