Arctic Alpine 11 [rev. 2/LGA775] CPU Cooler - can it be reused with LGA1155?

I have torn down some old PC's last week and one of them had an Arctic Alpine 11 from when LGA775 was the newest. It is in very good shape, and I am wondering if I can use it with my i5-2500k. My current cooler keeps my CPU running under 70c, so could the Alpine improve that if it does work with LGA1155?
