Not rechargeable.

They are still good for stuff like flashlights or remote controls.

Just a thought... If Chuck Norris minded, this guy would have never responded, probably would have never been able to hit the "Post" button.

Yep, just like throwing all your rubbish into 1 bin is easier than separating it.

Until rechargable batteries can be cheaper than the around 100 disposable I buy every 3 years for $20, then I will start thinking about switching. Plus, If I somehow lose a battery or ruin it (I use them in basically every project I make), Ive got a dozen cheap replacements.

the amount of caution needed makes it not worth it. It can completely exploded and spray everything in toxic waste. Not to mention, standard alkaline batteries degrade significantly since it was only made to stand one charge.

Nah, rechargeable batteries is the way to go now a days.

I half agree and half don't.

Personally, I use both. In my headset I use rechargeable batteries because I end up switching them every day anyway (I have my headset in 12-15 hours a day). So in that case, rechargeable in my opinion batteries are a MUST or else I would be buying a new pack of $15 batteries every 15 days or so. Same thing goes for my mouse. Charge that every day too so I use wireless for that.

Remotes on the other hand... because those batteries last so long anyways, I would just rather buy a 20 pack of AAA batteries instead of the ~$50 for rechargeable batteries

yeah good point I have a rechargeable battery in my mouse, because it came with it but for everything else i just have disposable because batteries in remotes pretty much last forever.
