High End Gaming Pc (No Dream PC)

Open For Changes or ideas as I'm not the smartest individual 😄

1. Budget & Location

Budget: It cost what It cost, nah but really don't really have a set budget.

Location: Sweden.

2. Aim

The system Is mainly going to be used to play games and maybe be used to streaming or YouTube If I get into that.

3. Monitors

240hz 1440p

Like the Ide of having an ultrawide for the main gaming like the g9 neo due to Its colours and lighting zones as i want a good monitor that will have good blacks and I only find 144hz monitor Oled and I don't like the risk of burn In nor 144hz.

I will use my old monitor for like discord and other small stuff but I can go for more monitors as long as they look good 😄

4. Peripherals

Only need a new keyboard due to the current one is a budget one.

5. Why are you upgrading?

Reason I'm upgrading to this insane level Is due to that my pc is old af and I'm annoyed at always playing games at low frames and lowest quality, and I'm building a high end one due to not need to upgrade in a while so I can keep the pc for a few years and It still be able to play games with good frames and looks.

Note

Graphics card: Asus geforce rtx 3080 ti 12gb strix gaming oc is already bought for the system aswell is the PSU

Go with 2tb drives and a better psu.

True they come with both higher Read and write speeds but wont the psu still be good enough with 100w to spare?

I'd actually stick with DDR4 and then add a 2x16 gb kit with your current ram kit. Also go with single 2 TB storage and add more later down the line. I'd also get only 1 set of those fans. AIO comes with 3 already.

What I would go with:

CPU: Intel Core i9-12900K 3.2 GHz 16-Core Processor  ($599.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Lian Li GALAHAD AIO 360 RGB 69.17 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($159.99 @ B&H)

You can also go down to 12700k. If you're a heavy multi-tasker, stick with the 12900k

Have you also consider just upgrading your current CPU to a 3900x or 5900x? Save some money on other components.

Yeah that would save a few hundred from the early adopter tax that im paying on the ram and motherboard

Yeah i know the Aio comes with three fans but i want to have all the fan slots filled so i get better airflow so i can lower the fan rpm as the 5000x offers 10 slots for 120 fans.

And with the storage i was planning on doing that but use one as dedicated widows drive and the rest with the other stuff cuz i might be wrong but isn't it bad to have a really full m.2 that has your windows or does that not matter at the high speeds?

Yeah i thought of just upgrading the CPU but decided i wanted a completely new pc

Generally, you don't want to max out the SSD. It does slow down if it doesn't have some breathing room. The reason I recommend a single 2TB is because you have a limited number of m.2 slots for expansion. If you use 2 1TB, you would lose 1 slot for future m.2 SSD's. SSD's use to be quite expensive which is why a lot of people had a separate boot drive and a separate HDD for storage. I don't think it's entirely necessary anymore.

Then I might rock one fat boy as a start and just add more if it is needed with the limited 3 x pcie4 m.2 sloth the motherboard has

But might upgrade the Ram as the one i have is no longer available to buy 3600 mhz rgb so might just change it completely to 2x 16 gb or 4x8gb

I would personally go with a 12700k and regular 3080/3070. The 3070ti and 3080ti are total rip-offs. The gpu market is lessening a bit recently so you might actually be able to get them in stock. The 12700k is 95% of the 12900k for like 70% of the cost. The 3080ti is only 10 percent faster than a regular 3080. Regular 3080 (the 10gb one, not 12gb one, gotta love Nvidia), is your best bet if you can find it. Don't get the 3080 12gb, 3070ti, or 3080ti. 3060ti, 3070, and 3080 are best price to performance. If you wanna go crazy, go crazy with peripherals etc. and save your money making the changes I suggested.

Then why not just get a lianli case that already includes lianli fans? not to mention corsair x cases suck cause of a stupid design decision that is front glass instead of mesh, if you wanna go corsair then get the 5000d airflow since you are replacing the fans anyways

Theres quite abit of money spent on aesthetics but most of it is being wasted on overkill board and overpriced rams so cut cost on that

Yeah I'm planning on going with ddr4 to avoid the adopters tax but reason I'm want to go with the 5000d is cuz of its looks and dark glass with i thinks just looks amazing but i will look into the airflow version and see if it has the looks I want
