how to accelerate a hard drive with an ssd

hi guys, i recently upgraded my boot drive so i have a 120 gb ssd spare now

i remember ltt uploaded a video on how to use an ssd to accelerate a hard drive. they had a software solution if i remember correctly

i cant find that vid so can anyone link me there or to the software they used

im running a ryzen 7 1700 btw so no intel

Primocache is the generic solution, although I have no personal experience of it. Not free though.

 

AMD have free StoreMI but that Ryzen CPU is a bit old to support it. https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/store-mi might be something to keep in mind if you get the chance to upgrade CPU, assuming the mobo is also supported.

yeah id prefer not paying for primocache but if its the only option i guess its worth. is there no free option?
