Why are Silent Fans called silent?

espr3ss0

Because at a given RPM they are quieter than other fans. If you ramp them up to full power they will still sound like the deck of a WWII aircraft carrier but by the numbers they might be a little bit quieter than a less silence focused fan.

If you want a silent fan then you have to have a fan curve that turns it off at some point.

"The Codex Electronica does not support this overclock."

Because if you heard Industrial fans running, you would understand.

You asking me for the Delta? Good choice.

I ran a case full of 120x38s for about 15 years lol.. I can still use them, but they are showing signs of wear that I am not sure a rebuild would fix. The Noctua's are nice, they generate the same kind of airflow, but I can control them via PWM whereas my Panaflo's were 12v fans that could be difficult to control depending on the mobo being used. My fingers also have more space to move inside the case because there isn't a 38mm fan that is in the way 🙂
