King of the RAM?

100 Bucks for 8 Gigs? I got my 8 Gigs for like 60-65 Bucks 1333MHZ DDR3

They said DDR2. $100 for 8GB of DDR2 is actually a pretty reasonable price. Don't forget it's much more expensive than DDR3.

Depends on when it was bought, as well. My 8GB DDR3-1600 cost me ~$100 (in Australia, where prices are slightly higher), which was good 3 years ago. Today, it's horrible value.

I generally stick with Corsair. They're great with warranty (as are most major memory makers) and I have mostly Corsair gear (Case, PSU, RAM, Cooler, SSD, memory, etc). That said, it's a preference thing and I am under no illusions of them being vastly superior to the others.

Also, guys, OCing potential has more to do with the (mostly bought-in) chips on the side than the assembling manufacturer.

I use Mushkin Blacklines in my desktop and Corsair Vengeance in my server.

I have a biased predisposition for Mushkin products because they're a Colorado firm and I'm Coloradan, so buying their stuff supports my local economy. Aside from that, their RAM has actually ran fairly well and stably in my system.

My DDR2 chips were GeiL Black Dragons. Beauties.

Now I have simple G.Skill chips that were horribly overpriced ($300 for 4x4GB 1600MHz CL7 @1.65v) and I smack myself for because of it.  Low latency RAM is a dying fad unfortunately; need to jump to high-bandwidth while keeping the lowest possible latencies instead, better for encoding software afaik.  (Also, it didn't work properly on my boards with all 4 sticks.  Took MSI a a single support ticket and 2 weeks to support it.. took ASUS about 7 months and tons of nagging. Shame I don't like using MSI boards.)

I use Corsair Vengeance atm, used to have Kingston. Voted only for Corsair cause we have to choose a winner and the Dominators look so beastly.

I voted Corsair only because I have 2 sets of Corsair in my main rig, but I do buy a whole slew RAM from a few makers, including G Skill RipJaws X/Z, OCZ Reaper, Kingston HyperX, and this set of MX ArmorX DDR3 2300mhz RAM from this company called Mach Xtreme......it has heatpipes attached to the heatsink for better cooling. I'd bought them because they were on sale, and looked awesome....to me anyways. Here's a pic:

I've since replaced them with the Corsair Dom Plat, so they are now in my storeroom should I ever need them. This is an old pic, before adding a 3rd HD7970 sometime last year...

Corsair for me. I really like how it looks, the quality, the different types. Kingston is also a favourite of mine, but I just can't get enough of how bad-ass my Vengeance puppies look.

Kingston, they're usually cheap and easy to find down here in South America, never had a stick fail on me, and when I tried to overclock them they worked pretty nicely too.

Main Rig: 2500k @ 4.5Ghz, 2x4gb of ram @ 1600mhz, P8Z77-M, GTX 760

Crappy old laptop: Toshiba Tecra A6 PTA61E, 2x512mb of ram @ 533mhz, Intel C2D @ 1.83Ghz
