Did I get a good deal or nah?

Guiltyxz

Just bought a PC with a R5 1600, 16gb of RAM and a 6gb GTX 1060 on behalf of my friend on eBay for £450 ($611)

Full specs:

GPU - GTX 1060 6GB

RAM - 16gb DDR4

PSU - Corsair RM750X 750W

CPU and Mobo bundle - Ryzen 5 1600 and b350m gaming pro motherboard

Storage - 1TB HDD and 250GB SSD

I think its a pretty good deal as it has room for upgrades in the future when prices hopefully come down, especially with the RM750x. Thoughts?

PC: Ryzen 7 2700 | RX 5700 XT | Asus Prime B450-PLUS | CoolerMaster Masterwatt 600W | 32GB Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz RAM | 512GB NVME SSD & 7TB combined HDD | macOS Monterey 12.6.6, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and WIndows 10 Pro x64

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Considering the 1060 is worth 2/3 of that system yeah good deal.

Motherboard is meh don't push it too hard if you ever do a cpu upgrade and stick to 6 cores. So keep that in mind if you ever decide to upgrade the cpu.

Might wanna get a bigger ssd for future games too.

Otherwise solid system pretty much.

Only info lacking is the case and ram speed but either way great deal.

Great deal. Replace the CPU, you've got a nice little build.

Looks like a pretty good deal to me.

Upgrade path for me would be:

1) CPU+motherboard (probably i5 12400 + some decent B660 board)

2) GPU when prices are reasonable

3) depends on the rest of your setup, maybe a high refresh rate monitor?

Well, it costs that much, but it's nowhere near worth that much. 😉
