Motherboard for Ryzen 7 5700G

Go to solution Solved by mariushm,

B520 and B550 motherboards support 5700G  ... some may only support it with a BIOS update, so you should aim for a motherboard with BIOS Flashback feature (ability to update the BIOS without a processor installed, using a usb stick)

B520 motherboards have limited overclocking, only 2 memory slots, fewer USB ports, but they're OK and cheap otherwise. If you don't think you're gonna upgrade from that 5700g to anything bigger than a 10 core processor, you'll be fine with such motherboard.

Also, if your budget is that tight, maybe don't spend $60 on a shit case. Spend the least on a computer case, go on facebook market place, go to the websites where people put listings, ads, trade components...

I guess you picked that case for the RGB fans ... well, except making light, they're almost pointless because the whole front of the case is a plastic sheet, so all the air those fans can suck in is from the sides of the case. Also, those fans may not be addressable RGB, those fans may be always on that rainbow effect or if they have addressable RGB,  a motherboard in that price range of 100-120$ may not have addressable RGB headers.

A single 5700g cpu doesn't need 4 RGB fans to move air around, the cpu cooler alone and a single plain fan on the back of the case would be enough to keep the whole system happy.

Which motherboards are compatible with Ryzen 7 5700G for around 100-120$?

Youll want a good ram oc board to boost igpu performance not to mention decent rams that can oc past 4000mhz with ease like ballistix

Maybe have a look at the b550a pro, tomahawk, b550 steel legend or extreme4

Maybe some more info would help

Budget?

Country?

Uses?

Partslist (if you have one)?

Existing parts from another pc (if you have any)?
