Mostly have it blasting in the background while cooking food.

 

Have you seen the music video for that first song btw? (Caravan Palace - Lone Digger) 

abit.. peculiar to put it like that , some guy has a pretty

interesting interpretation of it in the comments somewhere ..

I have not really looked in to any of them yet I just randomly ran across that and thought it was good. Now its time to dig into them more lol

The one from January 2015 pretty much introduced me to the genre.

Which is great, the only problem being .. It seems very tricky to find a 

way up from here .. Almost feels like i have already reached the

pinnacle of the genre with that mix. I prefer more swing and less

electro, atleast as far as the rythm and general wibe goes.

 

Some really good stuff there, really struck a chord with a dull guy like

me .

 

Caravan Palace seems pretty popular, they are also responsible for

some of the best tunes in those mixes (in my opinion)

I tend to like music like ska, swing, jazz, classical (may just be that I like brass lol) but I have not really been into music since I stopped mass downloading it in the mid 2000s. I tend to just run across things and listen to them for a bit and recently have ended up listening to a few small youtube solo or duo groups of random genres

I pretty much listen to anything i find likeable. Bouncing between

genres, there is a particular rythm and general feel i prefer. But i
don't really stick with any specific genre too much.

I was able to get my hands on a semi-high quality version of season 1 of Knights of Sidonia in 60 fps. Dang, 60 fps makes a huge difference in this anime. The fight scenes look so much better!

Well that sucks, always a bummer when a post gets swallowed

by the void.. 

 

Might be worth mentioning, i listen to alot of music after getting 

the beyrdynamic dt770's that i would never listen to previously,

and still won't listen to without these particular cans. There is

just something about the sound signature ..

 

After looking up some videos, seeing a few shows. What i found

can best be described as trashy. But that is honestly of little

concern to me if i can find a few songs i like. As previously

stated, i don't dearly hold onto any particular genre.  

 

By your post i am abit confused if you are against swing,

electronic. The mixing of the two or all of the above. 

 

And yeah .. Gintama felt very much lukewarm in the middle of

the shogun arc. Those kindergarten monologues were played 

out a long time ago..

Dimension W - I think I'm finally gona drop this anime. It's just all over the place, I thought it would focus more on one thing in the story but it just introduces all these characters and keeps going all kinds of directions from there. Mira is kawaii, but I'm afraid that alone won't keep me watching. Oh well....expected more from this

Might do, atm I watch about 6 ongoing anime and I kinda have Monogatari 2nd season on hold.

 

I don't know if I actually wana keep watching Monagatari though tbh. Watched Bakemonogatari, Nisemonogatari, Nekomonogatari Kuro, then took a break and watched some other anime for a couple of weeks and now returned to continue with Monagatari 2nd season but I just can't get into it that much anymore(though it always was a weird ass anime). I watched the first 2 eps of Monagatari 2nd season, but I don't know if I wana commit to 20+ episodes and then the other Monagatari anime that go after

Erased is awesome. There are other very nice ones like Stein's Gate, FMA Brotherhood(which I didn't find as amazing as other people did, but it was nice and consistent and the setting was cool as well), Death Parade, Fate/Zero, etc. To be honest I prefer shorter anime lately but if I have been following a long ongoing anime since the start then I will keep watching of course(Naruto,Dragonball +Dragonball Z + Super, etc. - using the more mainstream ones as examples since those are usually the very long anime).

 

tbh I'm not that much into anime with the theme similar to Dimension W, but the first impression this anime gave me was an interesting one, but when it came out it didn't live up to my expectations.

 

Though one genre I'm not into and probably never will be into is Mecha. Just not into Mecha in general, be it anime,manga,games, etc
