Mythical search - 3060 12gb [Mobile]

Gatekeeper01

Does anyone know if there is a laptop that runs the 3060 with 12gb of vram? All I can find in laptop form are the 6gb variants. All the 12gb ones are full desktop cards.

I am looking for a laptop going to a new editor we will be hiring soon at our company. I know we need more than 8gb of vram for some of our larger projects because we currently have a portable alienware with a 3080 mobile chip and our editor repeatedly remarks that it has crash due to insufficient vram (davinci resolve 16 on windows 10 for anyone who is interested to know.) I'm less worried about the gpu ability to get the job done fast than having it get the job done at all hence my search for the 3060 12gb mobile.

If anyone has fond a laptop that has that gpu I would greatly appreciate links!

I dont think laptops ever had a 12gb varient, maybe I was wrong.

If you need protability, you shouldnt be doing stuff on device, it would be much better to have a desktop with a more powerful gpu that does the work.

if you dont need portability, dont get a laptop...

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

I don't think those exist. AFAIK the non TI 3060s with 12gb are quite hard to find in the first place

Lol. Id take a 3060 ti 12 GB if that existed. 😂

I mean; is nice. but it's a 3060 (vs 3060 ti) At any rate sounds like I'll have to look around for a different solution.

Edit: Sorry, just realized I read your original post incorrectly. @Mel0nMan
