No, the touchscreen thing is disabled if the mic is plugged in through xlr. It seems that having 53dB+ of gain with make-up gain in the compressor are the normal settings for a dynamic mic and is just a settings issue, apparently I don't have the gain settings correctly set. However, with Discord being the main problem, I will now contact discord support to see if there's anything I can do there.

I will also try to reinstall the drivers

Sorry, that's my bad I've not used the MV7 myself and it seems was misled by a review.
As a general rule I tend to recommend inline preamps with large diaphragm dynamic mics purely because of the gain/sensitivity issues they face but I've not heard of the MV7 being particularly difficult to drive especiallt since the goXLR can power a SM7B by some accounts with littlew issue. If possible it might be worth taking a look at something like the Klark Teknik CT1 / Fethead / Cloudlifter which will significantly boost the gain and hopefully fix these issues.

As the title says, the mic is super quiet. It seems to be “okay”, and I mean okay as in it still needs 45+dB of gain which introduces a lot of background noise. It currently needs 53dB of gain so that I’m heard decently loud in obs and recordings.

However, this issue becomes much worse in Discord, where my friends need to set my volume to 200% to only hear me as if I was whispering. I have removed all sound options like echo and noise cancellation as well as automatic gain control, disabled attenuation and even reset all voice settings and still have the same issue. Volume in windows is set to 100 for the mic and in Discord it is set to 200%.

USB connection had the same issue, no matter what settings I had in the app.

I even sent the microphone to Shure to get it checked and they did not find any issues with it and hence can’t get a replacement. Is there anything I can do? Or should I just try to sell it and go for another variant like the mv7x, or a completely different xlr mic?

EDIT: I can pull up the gain more as it seems that it is normal for MV7 mics, I saw youtubers having a gain of 50-60dB. However, it is REALLY an issue with Discord and don't know how to fix it. I'll try to contact Discord support meanwhile

How close are you when talking into the mic?

Have you tried the auto settings in the Shure app?

The microphone is right on my mouth, I try to be as close as I can. I have tried the auto settings and that didn’t really change anything.

You sent in the mic to Shure... did you test the GOXLR mini? That's the more complicated equipment and what I would expect to have an issue first

Also, check your windows sound settings for an AGC checkbox

How do I test the goxlr mini? Everything seems to be fine with it, i've had no issues so I'm not sure how I would test it.
EDIT: I don't think it is the goxlr mini anyway because the USB connection had the same issue. I'm not sure if all MV7's are simply like that.

Are you using the gain switch on the MV7? That should fix the issues you're having where you're needing to turn up your gain excessively.
If you're still having isses after 36DB of inline gain and your Discord gain settings are configured correctly then the GoXLR may have a fault.

Discord is always a bit interesting with how it handles gain too, often interfaces may have far too little gain until drivers are installed so it may be worth reinstalling the drivers, beyond that, I'm not too sure, I generally try and stay away from gimmicky stuff like the GoXLR so I don't have any real hands-on experience.
